Herald Press of Huntington, Indiana on Thursday, March 22, 1962 reported:
Mrs. Florence Schlink, 78, a native of Huntington and widow of Otto Schlink, died Saturday in Maderia, Calif., according to word received her with information that the body will be returned for burial in Mt. Calvary Cemetery.
Mrs. Schlink was born August 4, 1884, in Huntington to Austin and Catherine Millenbaugh Wagner. She married Otto Schlink who died a number of years ago. She was a member of St. Charles Catholic Church in Peru.
Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. John (Evelyn) Murphy and Miss Florence M. Schlink, both of Maderia, Calif., and three sons, Otto E. Schlink of Fort Wayne, Paul Schlink of Imperial Beach, Calif., and Donald Schlink of Toledo, Ohio.
The funeral mass was held in California.
The body is being returned to this city and will arrive at 9:52 p.m. Friday by the Erie-Lackawanna railroad. It will be removed to the Kroeger Funeral Home where friends may call Saturday morning and until the hour of the services at 2 p.m. in the funeral home with the Rev. J. H. Roesler officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. Calvary cemetery.
