  [S927] Obituary. Gerald H. Schepers, age 68, of Celestine passed away at 9:20 p.m. Wednesday July 27 in Memorial hospital & Health Care in Jasper. He was born in Celestine, Indiana on April 9, 1943 to Alois and Bernice (Nordhoff) Schepers. He married Virginia Durcholz on June 29, 1963 in Precious Blood Catholic church in Jasper. Gerald retired from Wabash Valley Produce in Dubois and had worked at IOFCO in Jasper for 15 years. he also served in Indiana national guard. He is a member of the St. Celestine Catholic Church, Dubois High School Class of 1961, Charter member of the Celestine volunteer Fire Department, and Celestine Community Club. He is survived by his wife: Virginia Schepers, four daughters: Margie Schepers, Janice Schepers, Mrs. Robert (Karen) Reynard, both of Indianapolis IN, and Mrs. Andrew (Elaine) Krellein, of St. Anthony IN. He is also survived by his sons: Denny Schepers, St. Croix IN., Doug Schepers, Celestine IN., Marvin Schepers and spouse Janessa of Otwell IN., and Larry Sherpers of Dubois IN., as well as three grandchildren. Additionally he is survived by four sisters: Mary Leisman, Anthony IN., Rita Schepers, Mrs. Leon (Pat) Recker of Celestine IN., and Sr. Eileen Schepers of The Dwelling Place Monastery in Martin KY. Preceding him in death is one brother, Richard Schepers. Funeral Services for Gerald Schepers will be held at 10:00 a.m. Monday (August 1, in St. Celestine Catholic church with burial to follow in the St. Celestine Cemetery. Friends may call from 11-7:00 p.m. Sunday at the Becher & Luesner Downtown Chapel in Jasper. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Celestine volunteer Fire Department of to St. Celestine Catholic Church.
