SCHNELLVILLE, Ind. ? Linus J. Kempf, 86, died April 11, 2009, in Jasper.
He retired from Kimball International, was a World War II Army veteran and member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church.
Surviving are daughters, Gail and Patty Kempf and Kathy Fromme; sons, Glenn, Stanley, Alan and Paul; sisters, Virginia McCoy, Stella Hart, Martha Horton, Eleanor Hammond and Bernadette Elslager; brothers; Anthony, Norbert, Charles and Eugene; seven grandchildren and a great-granddaughter.
Services 11 a.m. Tuesday in Sacred Heart Catholic Church, burial in Sacred Heart Cemetery, with military rites. Visitation is 2 to 8 p.m. Monday at Becher-Kluesner Downtown Chapel in Jasper. Memorials may be made to Sacred Heart Catholic Church.

He was born on November 17, 1922 at Schnellville, Indiana to William and Veronica (Stemle) Kempf. He married Mildred Hoffman June 25, 1949.
Linus was a WWII Army Veteran. He retired from Kimball International in Jasper.
He is a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, V.F.W. Post # 673 in Jasper.
He was an avid gardener and card player and loved Hunting and going to shooting matches.

Friends may call from 2-8 p.m. Monday (April 13, 2009) at the Becher-Kluesner Downtown Chapel in Jasper.
