Wilma Madge Beam, 93, of Houston, Texas, formerly of Columbus, died at 11:15 p.m. Tuesday, May 25, 2010, at Methodist Willowbrook Hospital in Houston.
Mrs. Beam was a former clerk in the Bartholomew County Treasurer's Office and a secretary for Bartholomew County Commissioners. She was a member of Sandy Hook United Methodist Church.
The funeral will be conducted at 1:30 p.m. Monday at Myers-Reed Chapel on 25th Street with the Rev Steve Russell officiating. Calling will be from 11:30 a.m. until service time Monday. Burial will be at Garland Brook Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to Sandy Hook United Methodist Church Organ Fund.

Born in Crothersville Feb. 2, 1917, Mrs. Beam was the daughter of James G. and Hattie Skeels Ritz. She married J. Howard Beam in November 1938, in Columbus. He preceded her in death Aug. 6, 1992.
Survivors include a daughter, Karen Gresham of Daphne, AL; sons, Daryl (Jackie) Beam of Knox, PA, and Craig (Janet) Beam of Houston, TX; and grandchildren, Eric, Kevin, Shannon and Heather Beam, Terri Jones and Corrie Long.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; two brothers; and two sisters.
