Virginia Kathryn Vogt
Virginia Kathryn Vogt 86; of New Middletown
Funeral services for Virginia Kathryn Vogt, 86, of New Middletown, will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 21, at Gehlbach and Royse Funeral Home in Corydon, with burial in the Bethany United Methodist Church cemetery. She died Saturday, Nov. 17, 2007, at Wedgewood Healthcare Center in Clarksville.
She was born June 1, 1921, in New Middletown, to Eli R. and Iva Bigler Vogt. She was a member of Bethany United Methodist Church in New Middletown, a member of the Old Capitol Order of Eastern Star #467, the New Middletown Homemakers Club, the New Middletown Royal Neighbors of America #5254 and the Bethany United Methodist Women. She also wrote the New Middletown News column for the Corydon Democrat for 48 years.
Survivors include a sister, Hazel White, New Albany; a nephew, David Vogt White, Nashville, Tenn.; and great nephews David William White, Nashville, Tenn. and Andrew Michael White, New Albany.
Visitation at the funeral home will be from noon to 8 p.m. Monday, Nov. 19, from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Tuesday and after 9 a.m. on Wednesday.
The family requests expressions of sympathy take the form of contributions to her church.
