Obituary, The Barnesville Enterprise, December 29, 1955, Page 4, Column 2: Wilfred Gallagher, Long Ill, Is Claimed - Wilfred James Gallagher, ill for a long time, and in the hospital since September, died at St. Francis Hospital, Cambridge, Wednesday, December 28. The remains have been brought to the Campbell Funeral Home where the Rosary will be said Friday evening at 7:30. On Saturday morning at 9:30, the funeral mass will be conducted by Rev. Fr. David Schwendeman at St. Mary?s Catholic Church in Temperanceville. Interment will be made at Beaver Cemetery. Mr. Gallagher was a son of the late George Walter Gallagher and Emma Ulrich Gallagher. He was born in Temperanceville on April 19, 1927. He was a member of St. Mary?s Church and of the Holy Name Society. Until entering the armed forces in September 1950, he was engaged in farming. In August 1952, after service in Korea, he was discharged and employed by Kirk?s in Barnesville. On September 6, 1952 he was married to Aldretta McCort of Lloydsville. The survivors, beside the widow and mother are four sisters, Mrs. Mary Starr of Route 3, Woodsfield, Mrs. Pearl Reischman of Barnesville, Mrs. Leola Brown of Newark and Mrs. Martha Terry of Columbus, and two brothers, Joseph W. Gallagher of Malaga, and Gerard Gallagher of Temperanceville.
