  [S927] Obituary. Vincent Michel's obituary appeared in the Canton Repository on July 27, 2006 Vincent Roger Michel, age 70, of 110 S. Grant Blvd., Minerva, died July 26, 2006. Born January 30, 1936, in Harrisburg, OH, the son of the late Carl J. and Lillian C. (Frank) Michel. He was a member of St. Gabriel Catholic Church, Charter Member Knights of Columbus Council #11380, and Carroll County Antique Collectors Club. Survivors include his wife of 46 years, Carilyn Ann (Bresson) Michel; sons, Carl (Lisa) of Robertsville and Brian (Kelli) Michel of Royal Oak, MI; daughters, Anita (Scott) Monk of Stockbridge, GA, Sharon (Randy) Bing and Carol Gartner of North Canton, Marie (Troy) Waugh and Brenda Michel of Minerva; sisters, Miriam Schillig of Columbus; brothers, Virgil, Richard and Terrence of Louisville, Thomas of Carrollton, Robert and Mark of Canton, Charles of North Canton; and nine grandchildren: Nicholas, Andrea, and Isaac Michel, Jason Monk, Kaylee, Lauren and Morgan Bing, Evan Waugh, Kevin Gartner. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a son, Joseph; grandchildren, Todd Waugh and Nichole Monk; brothers, Theodore, Bernard and Norbert Michel. A Mass of the Christian Burial will be held at St. Gabriel Catholic Church Saturday, July 29th., at 10 a.m. with Father Victor P. Cinson Jr. officiating. Calling hours will be held at St. Gabriel Catholic Church, 400 W. High St., Minerva, Friday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m, a Vigil service will be held at the church at 8:45 p.m. Burial will be in St. Louis Cemetery, Louisville, OH. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Cancer Research in memory of Vince Michel, Ireland Cancer Center, P.O. Box 74947, Cleveland, OH 44101-9972.
