Christman, 86, of Ashland, passed away Thursday, Nov. 8, 2007 at Crystal Care Center of Ashland. On Oct. 6. 1921, in Woodsfield, Mr. Christman was born to Samuel and Maggie (Goodbalet)* Christman. He had been a resident of Ashland County most his life. Mr. Christman was formerly employed at Westinghouse before being in sales and co-owner at Harold Motors Co. He was a member of Church of Christ. On Oct. 21, 1946, Mr. Christman married Velma Haas, who survives. Also surviving are a daughter and son-in-law, Denise and Bob Kapps of Columbus; a son and daughter-in-law, Jerry L., and Sandi Christman of Reno, Nev.; four grandchildren; one brother, Frank Christman of Woodsfield; and a sister, Edna Long of Batesville. Services will be 11 a.m. Monday, Nov. 12, 2007, at Heyl Funeral Home, 227 Broad St., Ashland, with Pastors Don Highman and Jeff Slater. Interment will be at Ashland Cemetery. Friends may visit with the family 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 11, 2007, at the funeral home and one hour before services on Monday.
