Mary E. Lambrix, 68, of Lake Moraine Rd., Hamilton, NY, passed away Wednesday, November 18, 2015 at her home.
She was born August 15, 1947 in Binghamton, NY a daughter of Orel L. and Jeanette A. Spoonhower Montgomery. She was a graduate of Whitney Point High School and SUNY, Cortland. Mary proudly served her country in the US Air Force. On April 14, 1994, she married Robert “Bob” Carroll in Clinton, NY. Mary was an art teacher in the Rome City School District until retiring. She was a talented potter who owned and operated Carroll’s Calico Pottery in Hamilton. She also enjoyed gardening.
Surviving are her husband, Bob; her children, Daniel P. Lambrix and his companion Paul Hart, both of Johnstown, NY; Virginia M. Lambrix and husband, Kevin Shaw of Sebastopol, CA; Robbie and Amy Carroll of Ft. Collins, CO; Jill Carroll and her companion, Rob Knapic of Northbridge, MA; Patrick Carroll and his companion, Rachel LuQiu of Savannah, GA; sisters and brother-in-law, Dadie Sedota of Fredonia; Irene and Ralph Schmidt, and Jane Frate, all of Hamilton; Teresa Montgomery of Auburn; Helen and Michael Skinner of Ridgeland, SC; brothers, Joseph Sheptock and Paul Sheptock, both of Binghamton; six grandchildren, several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by a step-daughter and son-in-law, Heidi and Kyle Kunkel.
Memorial services with military honors will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, November 25, 2015 at the Colgate University Chapel in Hamilton.
Interment will occur at a celebration of her life, which will be held at her home, 3162 Lake Moraine Rd., Hamilton, on Saturday, July 23, 2016 at a time to be announced.
