ASHLAND Darel D. Denney, 72, 900 County Road 801, died Thursday, April 13, 2006, at Samaritan Regional Health System.Services will be Monday, April 17, at 10:30 a.m. at Fickes Funeral Home in Jeromesville, with the Rev. Paul Atkinson officiating. Burial will be in Nankin Cemetery.Friends may call Sunday, April 16, from 7-9 p.m. at the funeral home.Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of North Central Ohio, 1605 County Road 1095, Ashland 44805.Darel was born May 16, 1933, in Findlay, the son of Homer and Dorothy (Stover) Denney.He was a U.S. Army veteran serving during the Korean Conflict.He was a supervisor for A.L. Garber Co. for 30 years and also farmed.Darel was a member of the Ashland Fraternal Order of Eagles No. 2178.He is survived by his wife, Mary Ann Bott Denney, to whom he was married April 5, 1953; two daughters and a son-in-law, Cheri Denney of Mansfield, and Diann and Kevin Gaysunas of Granville; three sons and daughters-in-law, James E. and Brenda Denney of Springfield, Larry and Glynis Denney of Jeromesville, and Garry and Theresa Denney of Perrysville; eight grandchildren; two sisters, Rosemary Banks of Mansfield and Theda Zimmerman of Wooster; and a brother, David Denney of Jeromesville.His parents died previously.
