Willard E. Eddy, 87, of Barnesville, Ohio passed away Monday, February 24, 2014 at Emerald Pointe Nursing & Rehab in Barnesville. He was born on March 23, 1926 in Londonberry Township, Ohio to the late Ernest and Luella (Stevens) Eddy.
Mr. Eddy was an Army Veteran of WW II. He was a retired heavy equipment operator for R & F Coal Company and a member of Barnesville First Baptist Church and VFW. He enjoyed bowling, fishing, hunting, and traveling.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death his wife - Martha R. Eddy (8/1/2007); an infant sister; and brother - Bert Eddy.
He is survived by 2 sons - Paul (Karen) Eddy of Barnesville and Dennis "Doc" (Shelley) Eddy of Barnesville; 3 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren; 2 brothers - Herman Eddy of Cambridge and Virgil Eddy of Barnesville; sister - Ruth Harris of Byesville, Ohio; and nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, February 27, 2014 from 5 - 8 PM at Campbell-Plumly-Milburn Funeral Home, 319 North Chestnut Street, Barnesville, Ohio where the services will be held on Friday, February 28, 2014 at 1 PM with Pastor Rodney West officiating. Burial will follow at Crestview Cemetery in Barnesville, Ohio. Military services will be conducted by Guernsey County Honor Guard on Friday at 1:45 PM at the cemetery.
