- Oliver B. Husk
NAVARRE - Oliver B. Husk, 74, of Navarre, Ohio, went home to be with the Lord following an extended illness. He was born Jan. 5, 1931, in Parkersburg to the late John and Bertha (Lamp) Husk.
Oliver was retired from Timken Co. after 21 years of service. After retirement, he started his own exterminating company, H&W Exterminating Co. He was a member of the Emmanuel Christian Church of Navarre and the Kiwanis Club of N. Industry. Oliver was an avid outdoorsman and loved to hunt and fish.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a son, David Husk; one brother, Alden Husk; and a sister, Janet Husk. He is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Ruth Husk of the home; five children and their spouses, Roger (Susan) Fickeisen of North Canton, Ohio, Steven Husk of Canton, Linda (Mike) Ayers of Minerva, Ohio, Peggy Swierzek of Canton, Kathy (Keith) Carpenter of Massillon, Ohio; three brothers, Cecil, John, and Ike Husk; three sisters, Edna Barker, Norma Winigman, and Linda Myers; 14 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday in the Reed Funeral Home, 705 Raff Road S.W., Canton, Ohio, with Pastor Mark Paul officiating. Burial will be in Mount Pleasant Cemetery in Williamstown with committal service at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday at the cemetery. Calling hours are from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
