  [S927] Obituary. HUNTINBURG-- Laverne Rose Beckman, 67, died at 11:05 am. Monday, Oct. 20, 2008,at Memorial Hospital and Health Care Center in Huntingburg. She was born Jan. 16, 1941, in Uniontown to the late Louis and Suzanna (Denning) Ubelhor. Also preceding her in death were a brotehr, Kenneth Ubelhor and two sisters, Wyoma Robinson and Mary Ann May. A homemaker, she married Vincent Beckman Sept 26, 1964, at St. Meinrad Catholic Church. Surviving are her husband, Vincent Beckman of Siberia; a daughter, Cindy Schaeffer of Santa Claus; a son Danny Beckman of Evanston; a brother, Eugene Ubelhor of St. Meinrad; a sister, Esther Faulkenburg of Plainfield; four grandchildren and two stepgrandchildren. Funeral services will begin at 10 am. EDT Thursday (today) at Becher Funeral Home in Ferdinand with burial at St. Ferdinand Church Cemetery. Friends may call from 7 to 10 am. Today at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the family in care of Becher Funeral Home or to the American Diabetes Association.
