ST. LOUIS, Mo.-- Mildred Louise Brown died Tuesday, June 9, 1992, at her home in St. Louis.
A native of Perry County, she was born in the Uniontown area, the daughter of Olevia (Schlachter) Ubelhor of Evansville, who survives, and the late Leo Ubelhor.
She spent several years of her young life in Siberia with her grandparents, the late Frank and Josephine Schlachter.
She attended Hurrican Grade School finishing the upper grades at St. Mary's of the Wood in Terre Haute.
In 1946, she was united in marriage to Thomas Brown.
Surviving are a son, Gary Brown of California; a daughter, Jacquelyn Iwaskow of Cininnati, Ohio; her mother, Olevia Ubelhor of Evansville; a sister, Earlene Wurster of Cincinnati; a brother, Alfred Ubelhor of Tell City; two half brothers, Leo Ubelhor of Henderson, Ky., and Victor Ubelhor of Decatur, Ala.; seven half sisters, Judy Jackson of Decatur, Ala., Betty Gehlhausen and Anita Williams, both of Jasper, Rosetta Hobbs of Dale, Louise Wehrle of St. Anthony, Elaine Zehr of Dubois, and Donna Chevez of Little Rock, Ark.; and two grandchildren.
Memorial services were held at 7 pm. Thursday, June 11, at Buchholg Spankish Lake Mortuary in St. Louis, Mo.
