SCHAUB February 3, 1918 ~ July 10, 2013 Robert J. "Bob" Schaub, 95, of Vancouver, Washington, passed away on July 10, 2013. He always returned to the skills he learned on the family farm in Michigan with his 12 brothers and sisters. After his years in the service, Bob stayed in Vancouver, Washington and continued to enjoy raising animals, tending fruit trees, his large vegetable gardens with delicious tomatoes and beautiful flowers. Bob is survived by his two sons, Robert E. (Gail) Schaub and Wayne L. (Cecelia) Schaub; 9 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and 2 great-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by Josephine D. Schaub, his devoted wife of 69 years. The family would like to extend a special thank you to the caring staff at Elfin Services at PeaceHealth Southwest Medical Center/Kaiser and at Ray Hickey Hospice House, both in Vancouver, Washington. Interment was at Willamette National Cemetery in Portland, Oregon on Thursday, July 18, 2013. Memorials may be made to the Ray Hickey Hospice House, 2112 E. Mill Plain Blvd., Vancouver, WA 98661.
