Robert Stoffel May 8, 1922-June 12, 2009 Age: 87 Residence: Evergreen Robert W. ?Smokey? Stoffel, 87, died Friday, June 12, at his home in Evergreen surrounded by his family. He was born May 8, 1922, in Byers, Colo., to Everett Stoffel and Robbie (Castle) Stoffel. He grew up and was educated in Denver. Smokey accomplished a great deal of which to be proud in his amazing life. But it was from his family and their individual achievements that he derived his greatest pride and joy. He was a generous, wise, beloved, adventurous and loyal man that never lost his independence. Preceded in death by his parents, a sister Donna DeJarnett and his loving wife, Bette Jane Smith Stoffel. Survived by his lovingly devoted current wife, Mary Alice McGrail Stoffel; five sons and their families, Eric (Laura) and children, Bryn and Severtson, Greeley; Mike (Connie) and children, Shawn and Jesse, Parker; Dave (Jackie) and children, Courtney and Matt, Breckenridge; Steve (Brenda) and children, Carley and Nick, Littleton; and Kirk (Jennifer) of Elizabeth; two daughters, Terry Nash (Pat) and daughter, Mikenzie, Fort Collins; and Kathy Richardson (Rod) and children, Ryan and Shannon, Lafayette. Also two stepsons from his current marriage, Steve Carson and Dave Carson, and a stepgranddaughter, Annesa. Memorial services: 2 p.m. Sunday, June 28, at Evergreen United Methodist Church, 3727 Ponderosa Drive, Evergreen. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Mount Evans Hospice or a charity of choice.
