Mrs. Mary U. Fessel, wife of Daniel Fessel, died at the home of her daughter and son-in-law, Mrs. and Mrs. Paul Bigler, in Blue River Township, Wednesday night, October 21, after an illness of several months of softening of the brain. Funeral services were held on Friday, October 23, at ten o'clock a.m. at the Catholic Church at Bradford, conducted by Father Bolin, the priest of the parish, and the burial was in the church cemetery nearby. Mrs. Fessel had suffered from brain and mental trouble for about five years during which time she had grown gradually worse. She was seventy-two years old and leaves surviving her aged husband and three children, Mrs. Paul Bigler, Mrs. Albert Ferber and Philip Fessel. She was a lifelong member of the Catholic Church and was a good, kind Christian woman. She had many friends who will regret to learn of her death.
