Birth: Oct. 14, 1912 Death: Jun. 23, 2011 Hazel Elizabeth Lewis, 98, of Parkersburg, W.Va., passed away June 23, 2011 at Camden Clark Medical Center, St. Joseph's Campus. She was born Oct. 14, 1912, in Rockport, W.Va., a daughter of the late John and Margaret "Maggie" Florence Houck. She was a member of the Calvary Memorial Church; she graduated from Parkersburg High School Class of 1932. Hazel retired as a supervisor from the Bureau of the Public Debt. Hazel is survived by four children, son, Paul D. Lewis (Vicky) of Parkersburg; three daughters, Carole Craig of Belpre, Margaret Yarrington of Kettering, Ohio and Rebecca Lister (Skip) of Cincinnati, Ohio; five grandchildren, Alex and Alan Craig, Jeff Lister, Karen Gabriel, and Yeric Yarrington; seven great-grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; six step-great-grandchildren; and a favorite niece, JoAnn Kyle of Parkersburg. In addition to her parents and her husband of 73 years, Garland A. Lewis, she was preceded in death by a sister, Juanita Stehly and a brother, Archie Houck. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday at Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, 400 Green Street, Parkersburg with Pastor Rob Collins officiating. Interment will follow at the Evergreen South Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
