Gwendolyn C. "Toots" Dailer McColm, 85, Venice, died Aug. 8, 2004.
She was born Sept. 12, 1918, in Wheeling, W.Va., and came to Venice from there in 1984. She was a beautician and a special education teacher in St. Clairsville, Ohio. She was a volunteer for Wheeling Hospital, the March of Dimes and Hospice of Southwest Florida.
Survivors include daughters Becki Buzzard of York, Pa., and Pam Salestrom of Arvada, Colo.; sons August L. Dailer of Seattle, Greg. V. Dailer of Windermere, Jim J. Dailer of Twilight, W.Va., and Doug A. Dailer of Edmonds, Wash.; sisters Mary Bates, Evelyn Steen, June Casey and Betty Sawyer; 15 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
A memorial service was at Bird Bay Village, Venice. National Cremation Society, Venice chapter, is in charge.
