Lloyd Harold Miller
Lloyd Harold Miller, 83, of 1285 Caywood Road, Marietta, died at 5:50 a.m. Wednesday (April 27, 2005) at Marietta Memorial Hospital. He was born Jan. 22, 1922, in Bethel Township, Monroe County, a son of Carl Roy and Freda Ethel Nieb Miller.
He was a U.S. Army veteran serving in World War II; a past member of Washington County Farm Bureau; and a past township trustee for Fearing Township.
He is survived by seven children, Linda L. Brown of Marietta, Ronald H. Miller and his wife, Linda, of Lowell, Cheryl L. Hansell and her husband, Marty, of Marietta, Marsha A. Moeckel and her husband, Frank, of Gahanna, Sharon S. Yosenick and her husband, Ken, of Rowlett, Texas, Allen L. Miller and his wife, Jean, of Marietta, and Amber D. Miller of Marietta; 15 grandchildren, Douglas L. Brown (Vonda), Stephen J. Brown (Carol), Shawn H. Miller, Julie D. Huffman (Greg), Christy A. Boothby (Rick), Matthew M. Hansell (Missy), Jami B. Graves (Matt), Bethany L. Jasper (Brian), Geoff F. Moeckel, Heidi D. Moeckel, Britney J. McDade, John Z. McDade, Madison R. Miller, Leighann Sargent (Chad), and Chad Wittekind; 11 great-grandchildren; and a sister, Dorothy Stephan of Marietta.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his first wife, Evelyn D. VanFossen Miller; and his second wife, Saundra Lemley Miller.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at the Reno Chapel of the Hadley Funeral Home, 1021 Pike St., with Pastor Terry Schmelzenbach officiating. Burial will be in East Lawn Memorial Park with full military rites observed. The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
