Alvarez, Louise A. Saginaw, Michigan Passed away on Wednesday, June 4, 2008 at Saginaw Pines Nursing Home. Age 87 years. Louise A. Morio was born on July 4, 1920 to the late Joseph and Mitilda (Ackerle) Morio. She married Raymond Alvarez on August 30, 1942 at St. Joseph Catholic Church. He pre-deceased her on October 25, 2006. Louise had been employed by the Strand Bar-B-Q for many years. Surviving are two sons, Edward (Judy) Alvarez and Leon Alvarez, all of Saginaw; four grandchildren: Dr. Khristopher (Laura) Alvarez, Steven (Diane) Meyers, David Meyers and Ronald (Julie) Munro; and a great-granddaughter, Aria Meyers. Also surviving are special friends, Lois Schuette and Helen Coenis. FUNERAL- Louise's Funeral Liturgy will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, June 9, 2008 at Holy Family Catholic Church, 1525 S. Washington Ave. Rev. Ronald F. Wagner will officiate. Rite of Committal will follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens. VISITATION- Friends may call at the Deisler Funeral Home, 2233 Hemmeter Rd. (off State) on Sunday, June 8, 2008 from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. and 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Vigil Service will take place at the funeral home on Sunday evening at 7:00 p.m. under the direction of Deacon Roger Pasionek. Louise will lie in state at the church on Monday morning from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the Mass.
