  [S927] Obituary. RACINE - Benedict V. Seitz, 78, passed away at Becker-Shoop Center on Tuesday, October 28, 1997. He was born in Racine on January 20, 1919, son of the late Joseph and Josephine (nee: Klumpp) Seitz and had been a lifelong resident. In May of 1948, he was united in marriage to Monica M. Pfau, who preceded him in death on June 12, 1989. During World War II, he served in the United States Army in the Pacific Theatre of War. Mr. Seitz retired from Western Printing and was a member of St. Rita's Catholic Church. He was a former Boy Scout Leader and was the last surviving member of the Odd Ball Club, which ran St. Rita's Festivals for many years. He was also involved with church as a Eucharistic Minister and a charter member of the Third Order of St. Augustine. Bennie was also a member of the Historical Society of Germans from Russia. Surviving are a brother and three sisters, Joseph (Virginia) Seitz, Rose (Steve) Duzi, Dorothy Steiner (Gerald) Ingroville, and Charlotte Steiner (Don) King; many sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, cousins, and many dear friends. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Rita's Catholic Church, 4339 Douglas Avenue, on Thursday, October 30, 1997, at 7 p.m. with Rev. Jack Shirley officiating. Private interment will be held at Holy Family Cemetery.
