GLEN ULLIN - Cornelius Braun, 94, Glen Ullin, died Jan. 14, 2002, in the Glen Ullin care center. Services will be held at 10 a.m. MST Thursday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Glen Ullin, with the Rev. Sebastian Schmidt officiating. Burial will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery, Glen Ullin.
Visitation will begin after 6 p.m. MST today at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, where a prayer service and rosary at 7 p.m. MST today.
Cornelius was born Nov. 18, 1907, in Glen Ullin, the son of Fred and Juliana (Gartner) Braun. He was raised and educated in rural Glen Ullin. He was a lifetime farmer, except for the time spent at a technical school in Chicago, where he learned refrigeration, air conditioning and small electric repair.
He was a lifetime member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church. He entered the Marian Manor in February 1998, where he had resided since.
He is survived by three sisters, Carrie Kastner, Glen Ullin, Edith Gietzen, Idaho Falls, Idaho, and Pauline Fitterer, Portland, Ore.; and one brother, Adam Braun, Tucson, Ariz.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers; and four sisters. (Spangelo Funeral Home, Glen Ullin)
