QUAKER CITY -- Grace Alma Ward, 93, of Zanesville, died Wednesday, Jan. 26, 2005, at Cedar Hills Care Center in Zanesville.
Born March 10, 1911, in Temperanceville, she was the daughter of the late Charles J. and Ethel B. McDaniel Poulton.
A Catholic by faith, she worked for Watkins Printing Co. in Columbus for 13 years and was a member of the Bookbinders Union and attended Barnesville High School.
Surviving are a daughter, Ruth Ann (Ron) Crager of Gainesville, Fla.; a brother, Anthony G. (Mary Ann) Poulton of Barnesville; a sister, Eileen (Thomas) Large of Columbus; six grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Clarence M. Graves; her second husband, John T. Ward, whom she married September 1970 and who died April 30, 2001; two sons, Frederick Graves and William Graves; two brothers, Robert and Samuel; and two sisters, Alice and Garnett.
Calling hours will begin at noon with services at 1 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 29, 2005, at the Thorn-Black Funeral Home, 291 Pike St., Quaker City, with Father Virgil Reischman officiating.
