Bernard Hohman's obituary appeared in The Times Recorder (Zanesville, OH) newspaper on October 19, 1973CALDWELL MAN DIES Bernard F. Hohman, 58, of Caldwell route 4 died at 10:30
p.m. Wednesday in Good Samaritan Medical Center where
he had been a patient three weeks. He was admitted after
sustaining injuries in an earth cave-in at his home where he
was digging a drainage ditch to the house. Born in Noble County, Oct. 12, 1915, he was a son of
Maurice and Teresa Heil Hohman. Mr. Hohman was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church
at Fulda. He was a veteran of World War II. Survivors include his widow, the former Leona Crum; three
sons, John, a teacher at Rosecrans High School, James of
Marietta and Andrew of St. John Vianney Seminary at Bloom-
ingdale; four daughters, Mrs. Patrick (Teresa) Paul of Corning,
Mrs. Terry (Mary) Finley of Rehoboth Beach, Dela., Mrs. Lyn
(Martha) Goslin of Caldwell and Miss Rita of the home; four
grandchildren; five sisters, Mrs. Clara Smithberger of Caldwell
Route 1, Sister Benita Marie of Good Samaritan Medical
Center, Miss Eulalia Hohman of Akron, Sister Cordea of St.
Nicholas School and Mrs. Rose O Brien of California; five
brothers, Albert of Akron, George of Canton, Francis of Louis-
ville, Joseph of Caldwell route 4 and Clement of East pike, a
brother, Fr. Andrew Hohman and a sister Nora Warner, are
deceased. The body is at Brubach Funeral Home in Summerfield and
will be taken to Murphy Funeral Home in Caldwell where friends
may call 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today and where Rosary will be
recited at 8 p.m. today. Funeral Mass will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday in St. Mary's
church at Fulda with Rev. Fr. Walter A. Heinz officiating. Burial
will be in the church cemetery.
