Richard Danhauer Rev. Richard Danhauer, 76, of Owensboro died Friday, Sept. 26, 2008 at his home. He attended St. Mary College in St. Mary, Ky. and St. Mary?s University in Baltimore. He was ordained by Bishop Francis R. Cotton May 3, 1957. During his tenure as a priest, he served at St. Ann?s in Morganfield and Camp Breckinridge, among other locations. He was the Dean for the Western Deanery in 1985 and was a member of St. Joseph & Paul Catholic Church. His hobbies included traveling the world, jigsaw puzzles, and chess. He was preceded in death by his parents, William Edward Danhauer, Sr. and Freda Schmidt Danhauer; and two brothers, James Danhauer and Norbert Danhauer. Survivors include three brothers, Charles Danhauer and William Danhauer, Jr., both of Owensboro, and Thomas Danhauer of Morganfield; a sister-in-law, Helen Danhauer of Owensboro; and several nieces and nephews. Services were held Tuesday, Sept. 30 at St. Joseph & Paul Catholic Church with the Rev. John McRaith, Fr. Joseph Mills, and Fr. John Vaughan officiating. Burial was in Mater Dolorosa Cemetery.
