  [S927] Obituary. CALDWELL - Alexander B. Bettinger, 83, of Route 4 died at 5 p.m. Wednesday at the home of a son, Ray Bettinger of Sarahsville, after a long illness. Mr. Bettinger was born March 13, 1881, in Noble County, and was a retired farmer. He was a member of St. Henry?s Catholic Church at Harrietts- ville. Surviving are three sons, Ray, at whose home he died, Gay, of Lower Salem Route 3, and Walter Bettinger of Caldwell; five daugh- ters, Mrs. Beulah Hesson of Macksburg, Clara Gildow of Route 3, Mrs. Alberta Mallott of Route 6, Mrs. Helen Cozzens of Cambridge, and Mrs. Katherine McCool of North Olmstead; 25 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren, and a brother, Andy Bettinger of near Harriettsville. The body was taken to McVay Funeral Home here. Funeral services will be held at 9:30 p.m. today in St. Henry?s Catholic Church with Father Picard officiating. Burial will be in Olive Cemetery here.
