She was born September 12, 1929, in Noble County, Ohio, daughter of the late Elvin G. and Mary A. King Bates. She was employed by the former Hutchins Royal Blue Market in Caldwell, and she enjoyed traveling to riverboat casinos and playing bingo. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Chester C. Feldner, who died April 7, 1981; two sisters, Beulah Swain and Goldie Carter; four brothers, Dighton Bates, Clarence Bates, Alfred Bates, and William Bates; and one granddaughter, Samantha Feldner. Surviving are her children, Marvin L.
