Jack Ruel was born the 9th of February, 1912 in Chicago, Illinois. He was the youngest of three children born to Ruel Edward and Mary Gertrude Davenport.
By 1924 Jack was living in Michigan with his family. There he met and married Clarice Yoe. They were to have three daughters before their divorce in 1946.
Jack married for a second time to Virginia Jean Murray. They were to have a daughter and a son.
Jack loved to golf and was an excellent golfer. He was an artist and used his artistic skills in various aspects of his life. Jack had a love for photography. Jack was a very intelligent man and a very kind man.
He worked for Briggs Bodies which was later absorbed by the Chrysler Corporation. He became a supervisor for Chrysler Corporation's Outer Drive Stamping Plant. He worked on designing the front fenders of Chrysler cars to make them more aerodynamic and fuel efficient.
In 1954, when he was 42, Jack had a series of mini-aneurisms in his brain. He wasn't expected to survive but did.
In the late 1960's Jack moved west and lived in Arizonia. In the 1970's, he returned to Michigan and was to live in that area until his death on April 21, 1986. He is buried in Lewiston Cemetery, Lewiston, Michigan, next to his parents.
