  Harold was born in 1906, graduated from Woodsfield High School and went west, finally settled in Oklahoma, then Texas. Married Myrtle Davis who had been married and had a son before a divorce. Harold went into the service in World War ll when he was 36, in the Air Corps, as he had a private pilots license. Was sent to Africa, went on missions over Europe, oil fields, etc., and his plane went down in the Adriatic Sea , beside Italy. One man was killed, Harold was wounded, counted as missing for awhile as he was in an English Hospital in Italy - then reported as alive when he was sent back to Africa. He was sent to Florida to a convalescent hospital and later discharged. He and Myrtle have no children, living near Livingston, Texas, her home town, and he is retired from Shell Oil Company where he worked as a stationary engineer on their pumping stations. The last one was built in the water, near New Orleans, and he has arthritis partly because of this situation.
