ALMA L. BIGLER HIGHMAN, 89, FORMERLY OF 210 CENTER STREET,
WOODSFIELD, DIED FEB. 13 AT SENIC HILLS NURSING HOME, GALLIPOLIS. SHE
WAS BORN JUNE 23, 1899 AT WOODSFIELD, A DAUGHTER OF THE LATE EDWARD
AND EMMA MENKEL. SHE WAS A MEMBER OF THE UNITED METHODIST CHURCH,
WOODSFIELD, VFW AUXILIARY, AMERICAN LEGION AUXILIARY, WOODSFIELD AND A
LONG TIME MEMBER OF THE FORMER I.O.O.F. LODGE OF WOODSFIELD.
SHE WAS PRECEDED IN DEATH BY HER FIRST HUSBAND LAWRENCE BIGLER,
HER SECOND HUSBAND A.H. HIGHMAN AND ONE SON, LAWRENCE BIGLER , JR.
SHE IS SURVIVED BY TWO DAUGHTERS, GRACE DREPPERD, MERRITT ISLAND,
FL., THELMA BLANCHARD, CA.; TWO SONS, RAY HIGHMAN, REYNOLDSBURG,
GILBERT BIGLER, INDIANA; SEVERAL GRANDCHILDREN, SEVERAL
GREAT-GRANDCHILDREN AND SEVERAL GREAT GREAT-GRANDCHILDREN.
FRIENDS WERE RECEIVED FEB. 15 AT THE BAUER-TURNER FUNERAL HOME
WHERE SERVICES WILL BE HELD TODAY A 11 A.M., WITH REV. DENNIS BEWLEY
OFFICIATING. INTERMENT IN THAE OAKLAWN CEMETERY, WOODSFIELD.
