Darwin E. Kehl, 72, Lower Salem Rt. 2, died at 1 p.m. yesterday in Marietta, following a long illness.
He was born Dec. 12, 1902, in Noble County, a son of Edwin and Mary Welsch Kehl. He was a retired farmer, a member of Stafford Lodge No. 300, F&AM, and a member of Zion United Church of Christ.
In August of 1923, he was married to Beulah Day, who survives with two daughters and two sons, Mrs. Geneva Landefeld, Woodsfield, Mrs. Darlene Winland, Rinard Mills, Earl Kehl, Warner Robins, Ga., and Edsel Kehl, Kent. There are eight grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, one sister, Mrs. Vernie Stegner, Wamego, Kan., and two brothers, Franklin, Vincennes, Ind,, and Vaughn, Lower Salem.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Friday in Mallett Funeral Home, Stafford, with burial in Zion Church Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home this evening and tomorrow afternoon and evening. Contributions may be made to the donor's favorite charity. Masonic services will be at 8 p.m. tomorrow in the funeral home.
