Thomas V. Gamble

Thomas Valgene Gamble, 67 of Coral passed away on April 12, 2011 at Indiana Regional Medical Center. He was born in Grafton, Pennsylvania on November 30, 1943 and lived in Indiana County his entire life. Thomas was the son of the late Thomas Clinton Gamble and Velma May (Donahey) Gamble. He was employed with Center Township for 17 years and retired on December 31, 2010. Prior to his employment with Center Township, he was employed with R&P Coal Company for 11 years until the closure of the Lucerne 6 Mine in 1988. Thomas then attended Val Tech where he earned his Associates Degree in Diesel Mechanics. He attended Blacklick United Methodist Church and was a member of the Board of Trustees. He is survived by his wife of almost 47 years (May 2, 1964) and daughter Cherie and husband Pete Kuta of Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania, brother Arthur and wife Linda of Homer City, Pennsylvania and brother Clances and wife Sue of Blairsville, Pennsylvania. Friends will be received Saturday, April 16, 2011 from 2:00 p.m. until time of service at 4:00 p.m., at the C. Frederick Bowser Funeral Home in Homer City, Pennsylvania, with Pastor Brett Dinger officiating. Interment to follow in the Coral Luther Chapel Cemetery. He will be greatly missed by his family, by those he helped and all who knew him.
