  [S927] Obituary. Bernard George Wegman Bernard Wegman, 78, of Cologne, died Saturday, June 7, 2008 at his home. Mass of Christian Burial was held Tuesday, June 10, at St. Nicholas Catholic Church in Carver with Father William Paron celebrating. Casketbearers were Robert Gnerer, George Gnerer Jr., James Gnerer, Gerald Gnerer, Michael Johnson and Kenneth Hartung. Interment was at St. Nicholas Catholic Cemetery, Carver. Bernard was born March 12, 1930 in Minneapolis, to Frank and Florence (Gnerer) Wegman. He was one of three children. Bernard was baptized and confirmed at Annunciation Catholic Church in Minneapolis. He attended schools in the Bloomington School District. Bernard had farmed with his family in Bloomington until 1960. Then the family moved to Cologne where he continued to farm with his parents and brother Michael. He was a member of St. Nicholas Catholic Church for 48 years. Bernard was preceded in death by his parents and brother Michael. Survivors include his sister, Anna Wegman of Cologne; uncle, Ed Gnerer of Edina and many cousins. Funeral arrangements were with the Bertas Funeral Home of Chaska, 952-448-2137.
