Kracht, age 76 of Miles City, formerly of Sunnyside, Washington, passed away on Tuesday, August 2, 2005 in Miles City, Montana. Irene was born on May 24, 1929 in Carrington, North Dakota the daughter of Fred and Mary (Wanke) Wegman. She was raised and attended schools in Edmonds, North Dakota. On March 18, 1949, Irene was united in marriage to Merle G. Kracht in Moorhead, Minnesota. In 1957 they moved to Sunnyside, Washington where they made their home until 2001 when Merle passed away. Irene moved to Miles City to be close to her family. Irene enjoyed gardening, her flower garden, fishing, and crocheting, but most of all she loved her family and especially her grandchildren. Irene is survived by two sons, Kelly Kracht and his wife Joyce of Miles City, MT and Jimmy Kracht and his wife Katherine of Sanford NC, three daughters; Edna and her husband Rodger Bunch of Owens Cross Roads, AL, Susan and her husband Russ Porter of Moscow, ID, and Connie and her husband Mark Karlson of Tacoma, WA, twelve grandchildren, fourteen great grandchildren, and a sister, Margerite McIlonie of Pingree, ND. She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, and a sister, Dorothy Steele.
