Garald Weckbacher
RINARD MILLS ? Garald Weckbacher, 86, of State Route 537, Rinard Mills, Ohio, died Sunday (Nov. 18, 2007) at the Monroe County Care Center.
He was born in Monroe County, Ohio, Dec. 26, 1920, a son of the late John Weckbacher and Mary Clover Kinkade Weckbacher.
He was retired from the B.F. Goodrich Company, Marietta, a U.S. Army veteran of World War II, a member of the Pleasant Ridge Church of Christ, and a member of the Bethel Volunteer Fire Department. Garald loved going to auctions, social functions at the Bethel Community Center, and spending time with family and friends.
Preceded in death by two brothers, Martin and Johnny; and one sister, Arlene ?Sis? Cline.
He is survived by his wife, Sylvia Marshall Weckbacher, whom he married July 3, 1948, of Rinard Mills; two daughters, Bonnie (Bill) Knowlton of Graysville, Ohio, and Rita (Mark) Spence of Marietta; three grandchildren, Missy Knowlton and fianc? Walter Dean, Keith (Danetta) Knowlton, and April Spence; and three great-grandchildren, Hunter and Emily Knowlton, and Cole Dilts.
Friends will be received from 2 to 9 p.m. today at the Bauer-Turner Funeral Home, 100 S. Paul St., Woodsfield, Ohio, where services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday with Kent Parks officiating. Interment will be in the Pleasant Ridge Cemetery near Graysville, Ohio, with full military services conducted by the Belmont Veterans Council.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Pleasant Ridge Church of Christ perpetual care cemetery fund.
