  [S927] Obituary. George Edmund "Ed" Kirkbride, 67, of Marietta died Tuesday (June 22, 2010) at his home. He was born May 22, 1943, at New Matamoras, Ohio, the son of Edmund June Kirkbride and Wilma Mae Weckbacher. He graduated from Matamoras High School Class of 1961, and was a retired machinist at Conalco Aluminum in Hannibal, Ohio. He was a 45-year member of Matamoras Lodge No. 374 Free and Accepted Masons, and for 23 years he was the bass guitarist for the Family Traditions Band. He was also a member of the steel workers union at Conalco United Steel Workers of America Local 5760. He is survived by his mother, Wilma Mae Smith of Marietta. Also surviving are one aunt, June Mobberly of Marietta; and two uncles, George Kirkbride of Florida and Carl Weckbacher of Canton, Ohio. There will be no services.
