Loggins, Winifred L. September 23, 2006 Winifred L. "Winnie" Loggins 82, Ft. Wayne, died September 22, 2006 at Lutheran Hospital. She was born in Indianapolis, and moved to Ft. Wayne in 1956. Prior to retirement, she worked for Ft. Wayne Community Schools, where she taught Reading and English at Northwood Junior High School. She attended First Baptist Church, where she was a member of Joy Group, as well as a Sunday School teacher. Other memberships include Tri Kappa Sorority and Tetl Sherl. She is preceded in death by her husband, James R. Loggins, who passed away in 1999; and her son, David F. Loggins, who passed away in 1996. Survivors include her son, Steve (Carolyn) Loggins, of Ft. Wayne; daughter, Teresa "Terri" (Dan) Maucher of Ft. Wayne; daughter-in-law, Carol Loggins, of Indianapolis; sister, Marjorie Denison, of Cicero; brother, Gordon "Bud" Wilson, of Mt. Vernon, IL; 13 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Monday, September 25 in First Baptist Church, where friends may call one hour prior to the service, as well as from 1 to 6 p.m. on Sunday, September 24. She will be laid to rest in Washington Park East Cemetery in Indianapolis at 2:30 p.m. on Monday, September 25. Arrangements are being handled by Klaehn, Fahl & Melton Winchester Rd. Chapel. Memorial contributions may be made to First Baptist Church.
