Nau, 96, of South Olive, died at 6:50 a.m.. Saturday at Summit Acres Nursing Home, where he?d been a patient for some time. Born in Herron?s Ridge Aug. 25,1892, he was a son of the late Frank and Margaret Miller Nau and spent his life- time in the area. Mr. Nau was an oil worker and farmer and a member of St. Stephen?s Catholic church, the Knights of Columbus and the Grange. Surviving are his wife, the former Frona Miller; a son, William of Caldwell Route 2; two daughters, Mrs. Eleanor Froehlich and Mrs. Dorothy Shumacher of Barnesville; 18 grandchildren, 22 great-grand-children; and a sister, Mrs. Elizabeth Shafer of Caldwell Route 4. Friends may call at the­ McVay Funeral Home 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today. The Rosary will be recited at the funeral home at 8 p.m. today. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. Stephen?s Catholic Church with Monsignor Lawrence Luciano officiating. Burial will be in Mount Olivet Cemetery.
