Louis W. Schilling
Schilling
BEVERLY ? Louis W. Schilling, 80, of 21575 State Route 339, Beverly, died Thursday (Oct. 20, 2005) at his home.
He was born Oct. 25, 1924, in Beverly, a son of the late Leo and Stella Bauerbach Schilling. He was a farmer. He attended Beverly High School and served in the Navy during World War II. He belonged to St. Bernard Catholic Church in Beverly and was a member of the NFO, Knights of Columbus, Waterford Grange and American Legion Post 389.
He is survived by his wife, Marie Noll Schilling, whom he married on Nov. 10, 1953; four sons, John (Bobbie) Schilling of Mount Sterling, Ohio, Dan Schilling of Waterford, Tom Schilling of Fleming, and Randy Schilling and his fiance, Missie, of Marietta; three daughters, Susan (Dave) Cunningham of Mineral Ridge, Ohio, Jane (Lee) Rumora of Canal Winchester, Ohio, and Mary Schilling of Marietta; nine grandchildren; one sister, Lillian Deist of Beverly Route 1; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one son, James Leo Schilling; twin brother, Leonard Schilling; and one sister, Anna Brogmus.
Services are at 10 a.m. Saturday (Oct. 22, 2005) at St. Bernard Catholic Church in Beverly with Monsignor Robert Kawa officiating. Burial is in St. Bernard Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today at McCurdy Funeral Home in Beverly, where there will be a rosary service at 8:30 p.m. today.
