Vernon A. Brahler, 70, of 319 N. Marion Ave., Louisville, passed away Monday,
March 14, in Timken Mercy Medical Center. Born in Canton on July 15 1917, he was retired owner-operator of Brahler's Body Shop in Louisville. He was a member of St. Louis Catholic Church of Louisville and a former member of the Louisville K of C and the Louisville Kiwanis Club. He is survived by his wife, Margaret Monter Brahler; 2 daughters, Mrs. Donald (Ann) Miller and Mrs. Richard (Carole) Hershey, both of Louisville; 6 sons, Richard, Robert, Gary, Tom, Tim, and Mark, all of Louisville; his mother, Mrs. Ida Brahler of the home; 3 sisters, Mrs. Fred (Jane) Granger and Mrs. Thelma Hayes, both of California, and Mrs. William (Theresa) Weisend of East Canton; 1 brother, Kenneth, of Canton, 20 grandchildren, and 1 great granddaughter. A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10 a.m. today, Thursday, March 17, in St. Louis Catholic Church. Friends called Wednesday in the Stier-Israel Funeral Home of Louisville. Contributions may be made to the CYC of Canton. Interment will be in St. Louis Cemetery.
