RENZ, Alfons "Al" (Age 81) -
went to be with his Lord and Savior on December 5, 2005, following a long struggle with Parkinson's Disease. He is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Eva Renz, of Spokane Valley, WA; his son, David (Lana) Renz of Spokane Valley, WA; son, Jim (Barbara) Renz of Norcross, GA; daughter, Sheri (Jim) Queen of Spokane, WA; daughter, Sandy (Lonnie) Morgan of Spokane, WA; daughter, Patty Renz of Renton, WA and her fiancé, Gary; 18 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren, one great-great-granddaughter, and numerous extended family. Al was born and raised in the Spokane Valley, graduating from Central Valley High School in 1942, and farming here all his life. He owned RADCO Equipment for five years, and also developed Ridgemont Estates. He was a member
of the Spokane Valley Lions Club for 35 years,
a Board member of Vera Water and Power for 32 years, and a charter member of Hope Lutheran Church. Al enjoyed hunting, fishing, collecting antique tractors and classic cars, and was a member of the Model T Ford Club. He was a devoted family man: husband, father, and grandfather. His family was always his priority.
He will be missed by all who knew and loved him. The Renz family would like to express their gratitude to the staff at Sunshine Gardens for their loving care. Visitation for Al will be held on Thursday, December 8, 2005, from Noon until 4:30 PM at HAZEN AND JAEGER VALLEY FUNERAL HOME, 1306 N. PINES RD, SPOKANE VALLEY. Funeral services will be held on Friday, December 9, 2005, at 10:00 AM at Hope Lutheran Church, 17909 E. Broadway, Spokane Valley. Memorial contributions can be made to the Hope Lutheran Memorial Fund.
