Robert Briggs Dies
Robert B. Briggs, 60, of 531 Maple street in Eaton, died Friday evening at the Weld County hospital after being a patient since Dec. 31. Mr. Briggs was born April 26, 1872 in Center, Mo. and moved to Colorado when he was 18.
Briggs farmed in the Godfrey Bottoms about___* years and moved to Eaton when he retired in 1940. He was a member of the Methodist church at Eaton.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Leota Briggs; eleven children, Robert Alvin, Elmer and George of Denver, Ralph B. of Knoxville, Tenn., Miss Opal Leota of Inglewood, Calif., Ray of Seattle, Wash., Mrs. Fay Henneck of Ault, Clarence and Mrs. Virginia Lance** of Greeley, Delmer of Portland Ore., Lloyd Gene, Monterey, Calif.; eighteen grandchildren and five great grandchildren; four brothers and sisters, George Briggs of Bothell, Wash., Richard Briggs of Missouri, Gene of Pinesville, Mo., and Mrs. Jennie V. Ga__her* of Hannibal, Mo.
Funeral services will be held at 1:30 Wednesday from Marys Drawing room with interment at Linn Grove.
