ohn A. Davis

John A. Davis, 68, of Route 2, Lewisville, Ohio, died January 10, 1986, at the Woodsfield Care Center. He was born November 29, 1917, in Belmont County, Ohio the son of the late Thomas and Fern Duvall Davis.
He was a retired farmer, school bus driver and Ohio State Highway Department employee. He was a World War ii veteran, a member of Trinity United Church of Christ of Lewisville; also the Huffman Grange.
Mr. Davis was preceded in death by his wife, Nellie Feiber Davis in January 1983; also one infant daughter, Norma Jean in 1954.
Surviving are two sons, Ralph Davis of Route 2, Lewisville, and Carl Davis of Route 3, Woodsfield; two daughters, Mrs. James (Shirley) Saffle of Woodsfield, Janet Davis of Route 3, Woodsfield; three brothers, Lloyd Davis of Route 1, Woodsfield, Roger Davis of Route 4, Cambridge, Ohio and Albert Davis of Route 2, Barnesville, Ohio; three sisters, Mrs. Herbert (Annie) Crowder of Bloomington, Illinois, Mrs. Clayton (Mary) Fair of Cambridge, and Georgia Woodland of Barnesville; five grandchildren.
Services were held at the Bauer-Turner Funeral Home, Woodsfield, Monday with Reverend Gene Miller officiating. Burial in Friendship Cemetery, Lewisville.
