H. Lucille Braden, age 86, of Caldwell, Ohio, died Friday, April 6, 2007, at Summit Acres Nursing Home, Caldwell. She was born November 26, 1920, in Marietta, Ohio, daughter of the late George Franklin and Josephine Dixon Dennis. She was a devoted homemaker and a woman of faith. She was a member of the Main Street Church of Christ in Caldwell for over 40 years.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by a brother, Donald Dennis; a brother and sister in early childhood; a granddaughter, Lora K. Schell; and a step-daughter, Denise Braden Wilson.
Surviving are her husband, Charles J. Braden, whom she married in 1964; three daughters, Jeanne (William) Hupp, Carol Sue (Fred) Schell, and Marjorie (Marvin) Ruppel, all of Caldwell; one son, Jeffery (Tammy) Braden of Port Washington; two step-sons, Jimmie (Carolyn) Braden of Hendersonville, Tennessee, and Joseph (Beth) Braden of Tamarac, Florida; three brothers, Ray (Viola) Dennis of Marietta, Franklin D. Dennis of Coal Run, and John (Paula) Dennis of Oak Hill, New York; two sisters, Garnet Hupp of Marietta and Carol (Cecil) Simon of Bloomington, Indiana; 17 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; 7 great-great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
Friends may call Monday, April 9, 2007, from 2-4 and 7-9PM at McVay-Perkins Funeral Home, Caldwell, where the funeral service will be held Tuesday, April 10 at 11AM with Evangelist Darrell Simon officiating. Burial will follow at Dudley Cemetery.
