Edna was born in Woodsfield, Ohio on April 22, 1905, the daughter of Charles and Christina Christman and the middle child of six sisters and one brother. The family moved to Arlington, Texas in 1916. She graduated from Arlington High School in 1923 and went on to receive an Associate Degree at NTAC, Bachelor of Science from Texas Tech and Masters from Colorado State College. She taught for 40 years in the public school systems of Colorado and Texas. Survivors: Sister, Mabel Decker of Keene; nieces, Linda Rhinehart of Austin, Helen McKoewn and Mary Jane Ransom of Boulder, Colorado, and Judy Sanderson of Burleson; nephews, Gilbert "Chris" Christman of San Antonio, Rod Wilson of Alvarado, and David Wilson of Arlington; 23 great nieces and nephews, 28 great great nieces and nephews and several great great great nieces and nephews .
