GALLAGHER, Eunice, 84, died Friday, March 27, 2009 in Ohio Valley Medical Center, Wheeling. She was born April 5, 1924 in Malaga, a daughter of the late Charlie and Mary Buckio Hunkler. She was an active member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Miltonsburg and St. Sylvester Catholic Church, Woodsfield, the Catholic Women's Club, St. Francis Society, Acorn Twig, and the Women's Tripoli Club. Eunice was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who took a lot of joy in preparing each family member's special dessert. Everyone loved Grandma's home-made mints and peanut brittle for those special occasions. Surviving are her husband of 62 years Joe Gallagher; five children, Randall (Lisa) Gallagher of St. Clairsville, Diane Gallagher of Columbus, Ron (Cathy) Gallagher of Malaga, Rick (GiGi) Gallagher of Waynesville, Kevin (Susan) Gallagher of Texas; a sister, Lois Stephen of Malaga; 11 grandchildren,Tiffany, Lindsay, Justin, Jason, Karrie, Brandi, Stephan, Taylor, Eric, Kathryn, and Dean; three great-grandchildren, Zachary, Parker, and Brady. Friends may call Sunday from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. at the Harper Funeral Home, Beallsville where the rosary will be recited at 7:45 p.m. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated by Fr. David Gaydosik Monday 10 a.m. at St. John the Baptist Church, near Miltonsburg.
