WASHINGTON, W.Va. -Mary Louise Somerville, 81, of Washington died Jan. 9, 2004, at Camden-Clark Memorial Hospital.
She was born April 2, 1922, in Parkersburg, a daughter of the late Edward C. and Ella Blanche Reynolds Harris. She was a graduate of the January 1940 class of Parkersburg High School. She was secretary to the principal at Blennerhassett Elementary School. She was a member of the Washington United Methodist Church, where she was active in many committees and offices over the years and was church choir director for seven years.
Survivors include her husband, Paul Somerville; a son and daughter-in-law, Dean F. and Lisa Somerville of North Canton, Ohio; a granddaughter, Anna Louise Somerville of North Canton; and two stepbrothers, Robert Kemp and his wife, Linda, of Xenia, Ohio, and Charles Kemp and his wife, Agnes, of Wallingford, Ky.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her stepfather, Horace Kemp.
Services will be 2 p.m. Sunday at the Leavitt Funeral Home, Parkersburg, with the Rev. Rich Hogg Jr. officiating. Burial will be in the Parkersburg Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
