Evagene McKelvey
Evagene B. McKelvey, 83 of Barberton, Ohio, formerly of Woodsfield, Ohio died Saturday, Jan. 28, 2006 at the Barberton City Hospital. She was born Nov. 4, 1922 in Monroe County, Ohio, a daughter of the late Bearl Winland and Pearl Rose Fieber Winland.
She was the owner operator of the Rose Marie Dress Shop, and employee of the Department of Motor Vehicles, Secretary for the Veterans Administration, member of the Woodsfield Presbyterian Church, the ladies ECILA Circle, Eastern Star of Woodsfield, Job's Daughters, and the V.F.W. auxiliary.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Wade C. McKelvey; one son, David McKelvey; and one sister, Martha Kaiser.
She is survived by a son, Gregory McKelvey of Stockport, Ohio; two daughters, Bonnie H. Heil of St. Clairsville, Ohio, Mrs. Charles (Connie) McGee of Akron, Ohio; special friend Linda Stapp of St. Clairsville; a brother, Jack Winland of Barberton; one sister, Darlene Carpenter of Lewisville, Ohio; eight grandchildren; seven great grandchildren, and one great great grandchild.
Friends will be received from 2 to 8 p.m. Monday at the Bauer-Turner Funeral Home, 100 S. Paul St., Woodsfield, Ohio, where services will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday Jan. 31, 2006. Interment in the Oaklawn Cemetery, Woodsfield. Eastern Star services will be held at 7 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
