Earl C. Stephens, 78 of Parkersburg, WV died November 13, 2003 at the St. Joseph Hospital. He was born in Parkersburg, WV on August 16, 1925 and was the son of the late Olney Earl and Beulah Cooper Stephens. He was retired from the Earl C. Stephens, Architect firm. He was a member of the Worthington Golf Course Senior League, was a member of the American Institute of Architects and Past President of the Ohio Valley Chapter of the AIA. He was also an active supporter of numerous humanitarian organizations. He was a life long member of the St. Andrews United Methodist Church. He was a World War II Veteran.
Survivors include his wife of 48 years, Elizabeth Starcher Stephens, two sons, Samuel E. Stephens of Slidell, LA, Jeffrey E. Stephens, of Littleton, CO, four grandchildren, Laura C. Stephens, Gregory M. Stephens, Bradley C. Stephens, Neil A. Stephens, and an aunt Ruth C. Adams of Parkersburg.
Services will be on Sunday at 2:00 PM at the Leavitt Funeral Home, Parkersburg with Reverend Donald Maxson officiating. Burial will follow in the Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Saturday from 2-4 & 6-8 and up to service time on Sunday.
